Because sometimes, it's the little things that make a difference.

The Adjuvo Principles

Our principles are the foundation and make up Adjuvo’s core values for caring, supporting and assisting everyone.

  1. Adjuvo is about the person we assist and their wellbeing. We will never forget that compassion, dignity, love and respect are the human values at our core.
  2. You plan and direct your life, the way you want to lead it –choice and involvement.
  3. You decide how you want us to communicate with you.
  4. All means all: You will have the same human rights and quality of life as anybody else.
  5. You are in the heart of your community and connected with friends, family and people that are important to you.
  6. We will only have succeeded when you are sure that your life is the best it can be.
  7. We will work with you every step of the way to develop your independence and resilience.
  8. We will continually strive to offer innovative support and technologies that improve your health and well-being and promote your independence.
  9. All of our staff have the best training, tools and support so that they can be outstanding in their work; assisting, caring and supporting you.
  10. We work with partners to make sure your home and environment are right for you.

Adjuvo is committed to ensuring we support everyone with a learning disability and we are at the centre of their support. Each service is bespoke and is built around the person’s needs and aspirations.

We treat everyone at Adjuvo as individuals, our passion is to deliver support that enables, encourages and develops each person to fulfil their goals and aspirations. Too often, peoples’ packages of support grow and adapt in line with them. We chose the name Adjuvo for this reason. Adjuvo means ‘to assist’ in Latin. We assist and enable people to live the lives they want.

We believe people flourish and prosper when offered meaningful independence and choice. Whilst maintaining a routine and continuity is key to managing behaviours that other providers often find challenging, change is often instrumental to progress and discover.

We believe it is our duty to frequently ask ourselves, what could we do better next time? We hope this ethos is reflected throughout our relationship.

Our aim is simple. To demonstrate that we can make a positive difference to everyone we support. We will do this by:

  • Listening and responding to the person supported
  • By using creative and flexible approaches
  • #TeamAdjuvo: by utulising collaboration and partnership working wherever possible
  • Developing and delivering bespoke training to both staff and people we support
  • Utilising assistive technology
  • By Investing in our staff teams to ensure retention and continuity
